Not worth it unless you have the others.

If you're going to get only 1 set in the series and you have the cash get 60004. If you don't then buy 60002. This set is a fun add on, but not a must have. The truck is nice. The building is ridiculous. The flames on the top are kind of cool. They will turn so they are down, and the building isn't on fire. Or they can be turned up so the building is on fire.
The truck ladder design is really cool and is the same as the truck ladder of 60004. the front of the truck is different from the other two in this series. It looks like an older fire truck. the fire truck has no storage compartments like the other two and is significantly smaller than the other two in the series. It really doesn't compare to the other two. I can't stress how dumb the house is on this set. They burned up a lot of pieces with the house. They often will do that to have higher piece counts. It angers me that lego doesn't include the huge 32x32 greens with sets now a days. Buy some of those here they are pretty cheap at $5.

Typical Lego Quality

Bought this Lego set for my 6yr old grandson. We have several of the city fire sets but this one seems to be his favorite. He loves the extending ladder that also swivels around. He has re-designed the building on fire several times which always makes it fun for the kids. It always amazes me how Lego can always have all the pieces so no disappointment when putting them together. He did need some help with this set but mainly because he wanted it done yesterday. This is the smaller fire truck. The larger fire truck comes with the City Fire Department. Both my grandson and I love all the Lego products we have purchased.

Great Lego Set

My little firemen (5&6) loved this set. They want all of them now! =) They love putting the pieces together and building their own fire truck and the building on fire.
